1. Business Support & Economic Empowerment
IBCA champions the growth and sustainability of Black-owned businesses across Idaho while supporting entrepreneurs of all backgrounds. Recognizing that economic independence is a cornerstone of community power, IBCA provides:
- Business Directory: A statewide, searchable platform that gives visibility to Black-owned businesses, helping residents, institutions, and partners invest locally.
- Marketing & Branding Training: Helping entrepreneurs develop compelling brand identities, navigate digital tools, and scale through social media.
- Business Banking Support: Strategic connections with financial institutions to assist with business planning, account setup, and accessing capital.
- Pop-Up Vendor Training: Preparing business owners to thrive in local markets, vendor fairs, and collaborative economic events.
- Workshops & Networking Events: Opportunities for business owners to learn, connect, and grow together.
2. Youth Development
IBCA believes that young people are not just the future—they are the present. That’s why youth development is at the heart of the organization’s long-term strategy.
Through its Youth Empowerment Program and school partnerships, IBCA provides:
- Weekly Sessions & Mentorship: Equipping youth with leadership, life, and interpersonal skills.
- Civic Engagement & Volunteerism: Instilling values of service, justice, and responsibility through community participation.
- Field Trips & Career Exploration: Exposing youth to colleges, careers, and industries to expand their vision and access.
- Letters of Recommendation & Advocacy: Supporting students' academic and professional growth with tangible resources and support.
3. Health & Wellness

Health is wealth, and IBCA addresses the holistic wellness of Black and underserved communities through culturally responsive health initiatives, including:
- Homeownership & Housing Stability: Hosting education sessions and partner events to help families navigate home buying, renting, and avoiding housing insecurity.
- Mental Health Support: Creating safe spaces for conversation, healing, and referrals to culturally competent therapists.
- Counseling Services: Providing emotional and spiritual support through trained counselors and faith leaders.
- Sickle Cell & Blood Donation Drives: Increasing awareness and addressing disparities in blood donation and chronic illness care.
- Breast Cancer Awareness: Hosting educational campaigns and encouraging screenings among Black women.
- Alzheimer’s & Dementia Education: Partnering with experts to support caregivers and raise awareness.
- Cultural & Historical Preservation: Protecting stories, traditions, and sacred spaces that define the identity of Black Idahoans.
4. Events & Community Engagement
Events are a powerful tool for connection and cultural elevation. IBCA curate's events that blend education, entertainment, history, and healing.
Signature events include:
- Black History Month Series
- Concerts, Speakeasies, Galas, and Panels that highlight Black excellence and creativity.
- Juneteenth Celebrations
- A joyous celebration of freedom, with family activities, vendors, and performances.
- Impact Day
- A day of service and unity that mobilizes volunteers across Idaho.
- AGM (All Girls Matter Conference)
- Hosted with Dr. Tragil Wade-Johnson, this conference mentors and uplifts young women.
- Youth Conferences & Mixers
- Events that provide inspiration, leadership tools, and networking opportunities.
- Holiday Parades, Pop-Ups & Unity Events
- Celebrations that honor cultural holidays and foster cross-cultural connection.
5. Corporate & Community Partnership
IBCA helps bridge the gap between corporations and the communities they serve. This includes:
- Community Engagement Strategy: Guiding companies in building authentic relationships with diverse communities.
- Team Integration: Helping corporate teams get involved in grassroots projects, youth mentorship, and volunteer efforts.

- Providing spiritual counseling to those facing life transitions, loss, or personal struggles.
- Hosting quarterly gatherings to encourage faith-driven unity and vision.
