IBCA Ambassador Program Overview


The Idaho Black Community Alliance (IBCA) Ambassador Program exists to build a team of passionate individuals who are dedicated to promoting the mission of IBCA—centered on advocacy, education, culture, community, and connection. Ambassadors serve as representatives of the organization, helping to expand IBCA’s presence and impact throughout the community.


Ambassador Responsibilities

Community Engagement

  • Represent IBCA at local events, workshops, and forums.
  • Engage in outreach efforts to raise awareness and encourage participation in IBCA programs.
  • Build meaningful relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community members.

Event Support

  • Assist in the planning and execution of IBCA events and community initiatives.
  • Manage event booths, greet attendees, and distribute materials that highlight IBCA’s work.

Advocacy & Promotion

  • Share information about IBCA’s mission and upcoming events on personal and professional social media channels.
  • Support campaigns and initiatives that uplift and promote the community.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor youth participants involved in IBCA’s youth-focused programs.
  • Serve as a positive role model and active community leader.


Qualifications

  • Genuine passion for IBCA’s mission.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in volunteer work or community service is a plus.
  • Comfortable with social media and public interaction.

Time Commitment

  • Minimum of 5–10 hours per month, depending on current events and program needs.
  • Participation in quarterly meetings and key IBCA events is expected.


Indemnity and Liability Agreement

By volunteering as an IBCA Ambassador, you agree to release and hold harmless the Idaho Black Community Alliance (IBCA) and its partners from any claims, damages, or liabilities connected to your involvement. IBCA is not responsible for any incidents that may occur while participating in program activities. By signing up, you waive your right to pursue legal action against IBCA or its affiliates for any reason related to your volunteer service.
